I'm new to digital planning. Will this planner be right for me?
Yes! The 2025 Digital Doodle Planner was made with all levels of digital planning experience in mind. Our layouts are based on physical planner spreads, so it will feel familiar to those who have used them before. For a video introduction, check out AmandaRachLee’s walkthrough video on YouTube. You will also receive a detailed set of instructions with your purchase!
Is it similar to the Doodle Planner?
The 2025 Digital Doodle Planner has the same monthly cover, calendar, weekly layout, and tracker spread layouts as the physical Doodle Planner. The yearly overview page has been configured into a main navigation index with clickable icons to quickly get to whichever monthly spread you like!
What’s different from the physical Doodle Planner?
The digital version has been re-designed with a navigation index and clickable side tabs. It also includes themed daily templates and 800+ customizable digital stickers, including doodles, trackers, icons, stationery elements, and more for complete personalization! Blank notepapers and pre-made spreads allow you to create your own custom spreads.
Where can I find blank pages to create my own digital spreads
Blank notepapers and pre-made templates can be found by clicking the ‘+’ tab.
What are the themes?
The Digital Doodle Planner has the same themes as the previous year's physical Doodle Planner. This is due to the size of our small design team. We simultaneously create the artwork for the new year's physical planner while also designing the digital planner. Using the artwork from the previous year to create the digital planner allows us to complete both. This would only be an issue for customers who are switching from the physical planner to the digital planner, as this would mean they would have the same themes. Hopefully we can grow our team in the future so we can launch both at the same time!
What are the themes?
The 2025 Digital Doodle Planner has the same themes as the physical 2025 Doodle Planner. The full list can be found on shoparl.co.
What's the difference between digital sticker formats?
There are three sticker formats offered: Digital Stickerbook, Goodnotes Elements Collection, and Individual PNGs. The stickerbook and Elements collections are for Goodnotes users only. The folders with individual PNGs are compatible with most note-taking and PDF-annotation apps available on both iOS and Android!
When will I get the download link for my digital planner?
The download link will be sent to you in a separate email shortly after completing your purchase! No need to wait for shipping :)
What are calendar integrations?
Calendar integrations are a new feature where you can add a new event to your Apple or Google calendar directly from within your planner. To do this:
a) Make sure you’ve selected a calendar integration version of the planner from the ‘Build Your Planner’ PDF
b) If using Apple integrations: Install the ARL.shortcut file included in the files you downloaded.
Look for the Apple or Google icon on the top righthand corner of every page to make a new event.
How do I use the 'Build Your Planner' PDF?
‘Build Your Planner’ is a hyperlinked PDF that guides you through the various options of the 24 planner versions to help you pick the right one for you. After you’ve made your selections, clicking the ‘Download Planner’ button will open a link for you to download your planner!
I want to download all versions of the planner, how do I do that?
Clicking the ‘View All Planners’ button on the first page of the PDF will take you to all 24 planner options. Click on the individual buttons to download the ones you want!

Device/App Compatibility
Is the Digital Doodle Planner compatible with all devices?
The Digital Doodle Planner comes in two formats: Goodnotes-optimized and PDF. Goodnotes is the most popular digital planning app and is available for both iOS and Android. The PDF format is widely compatible with most PDF annotation apps, however we cannot guarantee that it will work with every app or device.
Is the planner compatible with Android?
Yes! The planner is an interactive PDF file that works with most note taking or PDF annotation apps. Many Android users find that the Digital Doodle Planner works well on Samsung Notes and Noteshelf.
I'm using an iPad, which app do you recommend for the Digital Doodle Planner?
The 2025 Digital Doodle Planner is compatible with most note taking or PDF annotation apps, but it has been optimized for Goodnotes, which is the most popular app for digital planning!
Do I have to pay for GoodNotes in order to use the Digital Doodle Planner?
You don’t have to pay for Goodnotes to use the Digital Doodle Planner. There is a file limit for the free version, but it’s possible to get the full functionality of the planner by using Elements collections or Individual PNG stickers. In order to use the Sticker Book and planner side by side, you will have to upgrade to the paid version.
Can I use the Digital Doodle Planner on my phone? Or my computer?
The 2025 Digital Doodle Planner can be used with PDF annotation apps on most devices, but to get the full experience we recommend using a tablet with a tablet stylus/ pen!
Does the Digital Doodle Planner allow cloud syncing?
As long as the app you are using has cloud syncing capabilities, the Digital Doodle Planner can sync across multiple devices!
Troubleshooting
The files won't download to my device. What should I do?
Please disable any VPN or antivirus software you have running, as this can often interfere with downloads, and then restart your device. Ensure that your device has enough storage space available and try downloading the files with a different browser. If possible, download the files to a computer then transfer them to your device.
The Apple calendar integration isn’t working. What do I do?
For Apple Calendar, make sure that you have installed the ARL.shortcut (found in the files you downloaded after purchase) in your Shortcuts app. Make sure that you have selected the correct app in the “Open App” line in the code. The default is set to Goodnotes. If you’re using a PDF version with a different app, make sure to change it to the correct app.
Some weekly spreads are missing days at the end of the month. Where can I find them
As in our physical planner, the weeks at the end of one month that transition to the next month are sorted by the month that has the majority of the days in that week.
The planner pages are taking awhile to load. What can I do to reduce lagginess?
Please make sure that both your device and app are up to date and running the latest versions. Ensure that your device has enough memory available (we recommend at least 5 GB) and close any memory-intensive apps in the background while using it.
Individual pages with many added stickers and images may take longer to load, so test to see what is the optimal amount per page for your device in order to minimize lag as much as possible. If you have many files or “Notebooks” in your app, try backing up and archiving any that aren’t in use to free up more space in the app.
If the app you are using allows cloud syncing, please wait for your Digital Doodle Planner to complete syncing before using it (this should only be an issue if you are opening it on a different device from when you were last using your planner).
If you’re still experiencing lag, try backing up all your files, deleting the app, and re-installing.
